Academics

Majors & Academic Programs
We have your major. The U features 132 academic programs, majors and minors — including the one for you.
The Honors Program
One of The U's signature programs, the Honors Program is open to students in all majors. Honors students apply for and are admitted to the program before entering as first year students and generally display potential for Honors work in high school through good grades, college preparatory curriculum, high ACT scores and participation in school and community activities.
Undergraduate Research
Delve deeper into your areas of interest as you work with faculty on cutting-edge research. Even in your first or second year at The U, you can join research teams, earn mini-grants, present at national conferences or conduct your research at sites around the world.
First Year Experience
The U's First Year Experience (FYE) offers unique living and classroom opportunities designed to help you make a successful transition to college.
Study Abroad
Enrich you academic experience with international travel and immerse yourself in multi-cultural learning.
IdEA
The U's IdEA program - Interdisciplinary Education and Action - provides you with a liberal learning experience where today's issues become the subjects of your classes.
The U's Signature Programs include The Honors Program, First Year Experience, Undergraduate Research, Study Abroad and the IdEA program.
